Doing costuming for TV is a lot different than doing it for film. Production schedules are *very* compressed, sometimes only allowing as much as several days between receiving the concept and delivering printable files. It's not that there's less reviews, its just that all those reviews and decisions are made in that very compressed period of time. That being said, working on Supergirl has always been a blast. I had the opportunity to sculpt the armor/suit for one of the founding members of the JLA, Martian Manhunter. When sculpting hard surface pieces around a body scan, I always try to go back and do a clean retop and smooth based on poly groups in ZBrush. The retop and poly group smoothing (with creasing) yields a very nice machined look. However, it can be time consuming, and time is something that's precious on TV productions. In order to meet the time constraints, I had to really refine my "manual" polishing techniques in ZBrush....and I'm quite proud of the results!
