Avengers Endgame: Iron Patriot

The character I spent the most time working on for Endgame was, by far, Iron Patriot. It holds very closely the original 2D concepts by the always amazing Adi Granov. They wanted something that diverged from every suit that had come before, and Adi delivered! I roughed it out as a sculpt in ZBrush, and then began retopping the individual pieces off of that sculpt. I was asked to do some further concept development still based on Adi's original art, but with some variations as it relates to scale, detail, and color scheme. They also asked me to do weapons look and function development, as well. Special thanks to Phil Saunders, Iron Man designer extraordinaire, whose previous War Machine suits donated a few components for the forearms in the railgun concepts, and shoulders/rib cage in the final model. What you see in the film sticks pretty closely to the version you see in the project thumbnail. It was a blast to work on this, even though this suit only got a few scenes at the end of the film. You can also see these images in the "Art of Avengers Endgame" book, available online!
